Punjab Extends Class 9 Registration Deadline for 2026-28 Academic Session

Lahore: In a significant relief for students and educational institutions across the province, Punjab's education boards have extended the registration deadline for Class 9 students enrolled in the 2026-28 academic session. The decision has been announced by the Punjab Boards Committee of Chairmen (PBCC) to facilitate students who have yet to complete the registration process.

New Registration Deadline Announced

According to the revised schedule, students can now submit their Class 9 admission and registration forms without any late fee until June 22, 2026. The extension applies to all educational boards operating in Punjab, including the Lahore Board and other regional boards.

The online registration process and submission of admission forms for regular students have been updated under the new notification issued by the PBCC.

Late Registration Fee Details

Students who fail to complete the registration process by June 22 will still have an opportunity to apply during the late registration period. Admission forms will be accepted from June 23 to July 7, 2026, with a late fee of Rs. 600 per student.

Education authorities have advised schools and students to complete the process within the extended deadline to avoid additional charges and potential administrative delays.

Reason Behind the Extension

The extension aims to provide additional time to students and educational institutions that were unable to complete registrations before the earlier deadline.
