Government Launches Free Online Technology Courses for Students Across Pakistan

Islamabad, February 27, 2026 — In an important step toward strengthening digital education in Pakistan, the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training has announced a new initiative offering free online technology courses to students nationwide. 

The program has been introduced in collaboration with the Cisco Networking Academy and is designed to equip young learners with practical skills that are increasingly essential in today’s technology driven world.

At a time when digital expertise is becoming a requirement rather than an option, the initiative aims to give students early exposure to high demand fields such as cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and networking.

The courses are open to students from Grade 9 and above, making it possible for teenagers to begin building technical skills while still in school. Participation is entirely free of cost, which removes a major barrier for many families who cannot afford private training programs.

Authorities have announced that the deadline to register and complete the courses is March 8, 2026.

These include Introduction to Cybersecurity, Introduction to Modern Artificial Intelligence, Digital Safety and Security Awareness, Introduction to Internet of Things and Digital Transformation, Networking Basics, and Industrial Networking Essentials.
