The Government of Pakistan has officially launched the PM Youth Chromebook Scheme 2026, offering 500,000 Chromebooks to deserving and high-achieving students nationwide.
The initiative, launched by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on October 25, aims to promote digital education and provide students with modern learning opportunities.
Under the scheme, selected students will receive Chromebooks equipped with internet connectivity, enabling them to attend online classes, conduct research, and access educational resources.
The government has introduced merit-based eligibility criteria to ensure that deserving students benefit from the initiative.
Final selection depends on academic performance, verification and regional allocations.
Eligible students can complete their registration through the official Inter Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC) portal.

The application deadline may vary depending on the education board. Students should regularly check official board announcements for registration schedules and extensions.
If a student's record is unavailable, they should try another identification method or contact their respective education board.
The initiative aims to reduce Pakistan's digital education gap by providing access to online learning platforms, digital libraries, research materials and educational applications.
Chromebooks will also be accompanied by MiFi internet devices, helping students access educational content beyond traditional classrooms.
The PM Youth Chromebook Scheme 2026 represents an important opportunity for eligible Pakistani students to improve their digital skills and educational performance.
Students are encouraged to verify their eligibility, prepare the necessary documents and register through the official IBCC portal while following their education board's latest instructions.
