Pakistani Students Can Apply for DAAD Scholarship in Germany With €992 Monthly Support

Pakistani students and working professionals planning to pursue higher education in Germany have an opportunity to apply for the DAAD EPOS Scholarship 2027.

The scholarship is available for the MSc Environmental Governance program at the University of Freiburg and offers financial assistance to eligible applicants from developing countries, including Pakistan.

Monthly Stipend and Scholarship Benefits

Students selected under the DAAD EPOS program can receive a monthly allowance of €992 to help cover living expenses during their studies in Germany.

The scholarship may also include health, accident and personal liability insurance, along with travel support where applicable.

Selected DAAD scholarship holders at the University of Freiburg are also exempt from the €1,500 per semester tuition fee normally charged to international students from outside the European Union.

Degree Program in Germany

The scholarship applies to the MSc Environmental Governance degree offered by the University of Freiburg.

The program is taught in English and is completed over four semesters, equivalent to two academic years.

Students selected for the upcoming intake are expected to begin their studies in October 2027.

Eligibility for Pakistani Applicants

Applicants are generally required to hold a relevant Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record.

Candidates should also have at least two years of relevant professional work experience after graduation.

The program may be suitable for graduates from areas such as environmental sciences, agriculture, forestry, geography, political science, economics, law, development studies and natural resource management.

Applicants should also note that their previous academic degree should normally not be more than six years old.

English Language Requirement

As the MSc Environmental Governance program is taught in English, applicants must provide proof of English proficiency.

Accepted qualifications include IELTS Academic with a minimum overall band of 7, PTE Academic, TOEFL and selected Cambridge English qualifications.

Required Application Documents

Applicants are expected to submit academic and professional documents as part of the scholarship application.

These normally include a CV, motivation letter, academic transcripts, degree certificates, proof of employment or professional experience and an accepted English-language certificate.

Recommendation letters from academic and professional referees may also be required.

Application Deadline

The application deadline for the DAAD EPOS Scholarship for the 2027 intake is October 15, 2026.

Applicants from Pakistan who meet the eligibility requirements should prepare their documents in advance, as incomplete applications may not be considered.
