National Assembly Issues Alert on Fraudulent Internship Advertisements

Islamabad – Official Warning on Fake Internship Links
The Secretariat of the National Assembly of Pakistan has formally cautioned students and the public about fraudulent internship advertisements and online links circulating on social media and various job‑listing platforms. These adverts claim to invite applications for the National Assembly’s Summer 2026 internship programme, but according to the official notice, they are not authentic.

Officials clarified that no open call for internship applications has been issued through third‑party websites or unverified digital channels. The Secretariat emphasized that the public should not rely on such advertisements or submit personal information through unauthorized links.

Internship Selection Process Explained

Structured Outreach Instead of Open Online Applications
The National Assembly’s Summer 2026 internship programme is being administered through a controlled, structured institutional process. Under this framework, selected universities are directly contacted to nominate eligible students in accordance with the Assembly’s approved procedures. This means that students cannot apply independently via job portals or social media posts that appear to represent the National Assembly.

Officials highlighted that the nomination process is designed to maintain the integrity of the programme and prevent exploitation of applicants through misleading online content.

Public Precautions and Legal Measures
The Secretariat advised students and other members of the public to exercise caution, particularly regarding the submission of personal data to sources that are not explicitly verified by official National Assembly channels. Any announcement related to official programmes will be made only through recognized and formal communication avenues.

In its warning, the National Assembly indicated that legal or administrative action could be taken against individuals or entities involved in spreading false or misleading information. This is intended to deter misuse of the institution’s name and protect prospective interns from scams.
