The Higher Education Commission of Pakistan has invited applications for the Omani Scholarship Program for Undergraduate Studies 2026–27, offering Pakistani and Azad Jammu and Kashmir students an opportunity to complete their bachelor’s education in Oman.
The scholarships are being offered by the Government of the Sultanate of Oman through its Cultural and Scientific Cooperation Programme. HEC will serve as Pakistan’s official nominating agency and will shortlist eligible applicants for consideration by the relevant Omani authorities.
Eligible students must submit their online applications by July 13, 2026.
The scholarship program is open to citizens of Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir who want to pursue undergraduate studies in Oman.
Applicants must meet the educational, testing and documentation requirements specified by HEC and the Government of Oman. Meeting the basic eligibility criteria does not automatically guarantee selection, as HEC will nominate candidates according to the applicable merit and selection process.
Students should ensure that the information entered in their application matches their academic certificates, identity documents and USAT records.
HEC Announces Law-GAT 2026 Registration and Test Date
A valid Undergraduate Studies Admission Test, or USAT, score is one of the main requirements for the HEC Oman Scholarships 2026–27.
According to the announcement, candidates must already possess a qualifying USAT result. Results from tests taken on or after June 13, 2025, will be considered under the announced eligibility window.
HEC has also clarified that it will not arrange a separate USAT examination for this scholarship program. Students who have not already taken the required test may therefore be unable to participate in the current nomination cycle.
Applicants should carefully verify their test date, score and personal information before submitting the online form.
Applications must be completed through the official HEC online system. Candidates should avoid relying on unofficial agents or submitting information through unverified websites.
Follow these steps to apply:
Candidates should apply early because incomplete forms, missing documents or technical problems near the deadline could prevent successful submission.
The final document list must be checked on the official HEC scholarship page. However, applicants should generally keep the following records available:
All uploaded files should be clear, readable and consistent with the information provided in the application form.
HEC is responsible for receiving applications and nominating eligible Pakistani and AJK candidates. Final admission and scholarship decisions may remain subject to approval by the Government of Oman and participating educational institutions.
Applicants should therefore understand that an online application, or even nomination by HEC, may not automatically constitute a final scholarship award.
HEC may reject applications containing incomplete, inaccurate or unverifiable information. Candidates should continue monitoring their registered email address and the HEC portal for updates, shortlisting notices or requests for additional documents.
The Omani Scholarship Program gives Pakistani students access to an international undergraduate education while promoting academic and cultural cooperation between Pakistan and Oman.
Studying abroad can help students develop independent learning skills, experience a different academic environment and build international professional networks. The program also supports stronger educational links between the two countries.
Students should still research their intended subject, institution, degree recognition, living arrangements and scholarship conditions before accepting an offer.
The deadline to submit an online application for the HEC Oman Undergraduate Scholarship Program is:
July 13, 2026
Applications submitted after the deadline may not be considered. Students are advised to complete their forms and upload all supporting documents as early as possible.
